Striving to get our points across
We barter, word for word
Seldom ever heard or hearing
What if we stopped all our debates
What if we should quiet, wait
For one bright meteor
Across a hidden sky.
Rest to our souls this silence take
Lest in the fusillades launched
We should be wounded, by mistake,
And unrepairable.
