Act Our Age Poem by David Harris

Act Our Age

Rating: 5.0

On a sun kissed beach,
we frolic our time away,
playing assorted games
as kids we used to play.
People stop and stare
at two old people playing in the sand,
wondering when we will grow up
and act our age again.
We just carry on having fun
the way we used to do
with both our minds on one thing
and that is me and you.
Age may have stolen our youth,
but our spirits are still young.
We can still frolic in the sand
and have a lot of fun.

What a thoroughly enchanting poem David. I can picture the two of you, sand clinging to bare feet, hair windswept and salty. It's only when you have reached a certain age that you realize the timelessness of enjoying life to the full. Goodonya both. Love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥
