Actions Instead Of Squawking Poem by Randy McClave

Actions Instead Of Squawking

Why didn't God allow pets to speak
But, instead they bark. meow, chirp and squeak,
We never understand truly what they are saying
Even when they are listening and obeying.
God gave man a brain and also a tongue
So, that he could learn to speak to each and everyone,
But, why didn't God do the same for out pets
Especially when we take them to the vets.
We hear them bark and we also hear them meow
Many times we know instinctively when to raise an eyebrow,
And sometimes we'll hear in the cage a bell ring
Then sometimes we'll hear chirps as the birdies sing.
Maybe purposely without our tongue pets were created
To teach us how love and loyalty is best demonstrated,
Next time you hear a purr, a bark, a squeak or even a squawk
Remember this, actions are so much better then talk.
