Activated Upon Phoning

Credit cards...awe the bliss of it
To some it's like an opium
The pure delight when those words are read
Activated upon phoning
Then we gain our access
It's pretty well instantaneous
All the goodies our eyes behold
Our debt ratio going to a plus

Well the Word of God works the same
It has activating power
When we open it to read God's Word
The Spirit begins that very hour
It reaches our mind...it reaches our heart
To bring the truth to bare
To the deepest need of our soul
Is its need to trust Christ here

We owe a heavy debt to God
Our sins have compilation
They just keep adding up and up
Oftimes leading to consternation
Praise God Jesus paid our sin-debt
Yes...for each and every one
Forgives us for every past sin
With a clean slate now to move on

I'm so thrilled I've activated
The blessing in His Book
And I've found Him...the Author of faith
Because I took a look
Come now friend to the Saviour
His mercy cup is full
Take a drink and find Salvation
You've an inheritance if you will

Hallelujah what a Saviour!
