Adapt Unwrapped - Lincoln Park Zoo Poem by Ima Ryma

Adapt Unwrapped - Lincoln Park Zoo

An African penguin like me
Has adapted to water world.
If you look closely, you can see
Adapting ways and means unfurled.
Dark feathers on my back do make
It hard from above to detect.
My underside light feathers take
A blend into the sea connect
To protect me from threat below.
The pink patching around my eyes
Aid me to keep cool as I go
Through the water - I climatize!

Come to Lincoln Park Zoo and find
Close encounters of a bird kind.
