Adapted Patterns Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Adapted Patterns

Scanned.
But not to gaze.
At nature's glorious magnificence.
And how intricate with signicance.
God has created each participant.
Blessed to experience life.
On His canvas we call Earth.
We know as home.
Animated to roam and explore it.
As God wishes to allow and condone.
Although,
Many find it difficult.
Fitting in and being a part,
To accept adapted patterns for what they are.
Feeling out of place.
With a wanting of this known.
Showing they wish to erase,
What God has created to eliminate.
To only present their faces everywhere.
As a representation.
Of what they perceive to have believed.
On TV.
Movies.
Magazine covers.
With it not wanting others,
To sit in positions of leadership.
Depicting they too,
Have also been chosen and picked.
To include.
On the canvas of God's adapted patterns.
