Sharing a pizza is fine but having yours alone is a dream
Big or small appetites are suitable for one bite more
A lot of our complaints are settled with a stream
Delectables chosen from a menu, a scream
Wouldn't spend a day more just to score
Take your fill, belly full, tomorrow's null
If life were a pizza, I'll just add more
Vegetables, hold the hot sauce
Sprinkle white melty cheese
Sticky and drippy pulpy
Slice after slice, no
Dice, this is truly
Paradise, in a
Plate, never
Pausing
Reflect
Not
On
Your
Tummy
Ache that
Comes on the
Dot, you've earned
The lot, oversimplified
Consequences of losing
Control, wanting more of life
Just get more of it from the store
Appetites wane and soon all become
Just a bore, a tummy ache also comes
With the plate, surfeit never soonforecasted
What can be had is never clarified, winner drools
Take out the knife, slice into pieces, who will protest
No one's bequest, be with the rest, not about to detest
Such a hullabaloo, nothing's askew, life's on a roll, oh more!
❤️❤️❤️
The breathless sprint at the closing section of the poem reflects the wanton display of greed by a pizza addict, someone like me.: -)
Making this poem is fun and I never had surfeit yet; I hope not one gets a bellyache from reading my poems or eating pizza - both are vicarious pleasures of our lives. Thank you, Lamar, for sharing my taste.: -)
There is a glitch which comes before the tummy ache, which is just as well, take this moment to reflect if you want another bite more.: -)
