Addicted To Poetry
Addicted to poetry I cannot sleep
addicted to alcohol I no longer keep
I challenge all poets around the world
to contest the silent whisper of my soul
to race against time I will not cease
with every breath, my poems increase
poetry allows me to heal my mind
with the waves, I'll swim to seek and find
amidst the challenge of darkness and pain
as the sun sets on the horizon so too my gain.
