Adrift No More Poem by Oyekake Satty (O S) Joshua

Adrift No More

Rating: 5.0

Lord prod me often and always
Nudge a little bit stronger
Until my flaws are unveiled to me
Until I bow to you in acceptance
Without excuses or justification

Whether ready and willing or not
Despite my resistance or my tears
Bid me to follow your beckoning call
Till my steps are anchored to Yours
Till my life is aligned with your will

Impress upon my heart your will
Let your voice be audible enough
That if I lose my way I may hear
Your call in the depth of my spirit
And respond in acknowledgement

Confine me more; restrain me always
Put your hand over me and curb me
With reinforcement stronger and surer
Let me not wonder or go my own way
Let me not rely on shallow reasoning

Align my desires with your will
That I may find my life's goals
And your purpose intertwined
That I may never wonder too far
To find a reason not to return

When my life is aligned with Yours
When there is no cause but Yours
Then my way is established in You
Hereon, my will, my life would stem
And I will be adrift no more
