Affirming My Self Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

Affirming My Self

Rating: 5.0

If I affirm myself as a Catholic
merely by denying all that
is Muslim, Jewish, Protestant,
Hindu, Buddhist,
and other philosophies

in the end I will find that
there is not much left for me

to affirm as a Catholic.

and certainly no breath
of the Spirit
with which to affirm it.

on the one stalk of a flower look just beautiful itself not another flower; but none can deny other flowers which are beautiful on own stalk!
