African Masks Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

African Masks

Rating: 4.0

Masks!
He asks,
She asks,
African masks! !
Shapes,
Faces,
Phases,
With colours;
From one culture to another.
Masks,
African masks,
With different colours;
Meanings here and there,
Cultures and traditions around,
African masks! !
Phases,
Identifications,
Pose, poise!
Purpose,
Prose,
Like a beautiful rose;
Part of the tradition,
Part of the culture,
Art! !
Masks,
He asks,
She asks,
African masks!
Light,
Delight,
Sight,
Insight,
Might! !
In the night.
Blue heavens! !
Watching down on Africa;
He asks,
She asks,
Faces!
Phases,
Masks,
African masks,
Here they are!
In Africa;
With the cultures and traditions around the masks.
