After 'Each' Kiss - Poem by James McLain

you know,
i always come back after 'Each' kiss.
every morning.
each kiss to me is different.
as different as the deepest of
the deep pink flowers.
it drinks.
and only the feet of the humming bird i see.
and so heavy with it.
i watch you look and i smile.
watching it come out and rest against it's bill.
