Did I mention dear Bellvue...
She was part of the proceedings
With a one-sentence thwack! ...
Where the garbage vat
Lay hiding.
I admired her knack of
Forgetting the present...
Closed my door,
Looked askance at the
Sky...
And cursed it blue.
Elysabeth, This is a beautifully constructed piece. I rteally like the works of yours tha\t I have read and this is no exception. There is a humour to this but also a demand that the reader takes you, the poet, seriously. That discipline is much to be admired as much as this poem!
A cute little coda to your Cletus and Leotard (they can't be real names!) . Something Monty Pythonesque about Bellvue and the garbage and your good self cursing the sky. Fun read. love, Allie xxxx
Now, I must admit, seeing Bellvue [though not sure of spelling] thought I'd be reading of a place not much unlike a spot here recently...alas, I, me, Marci, was wrong.....I enjoyed this lizzbeth and how you made me think..marci.xx

As so often Allie said it all. And then, as so often, DJ said it all. I will add but one word. Brilliant. t x
