Albatross Poem by David Harris

Albatross

I am a wayfaring stranger
adrift on an unrelenting sea.
No port to call my home,
as on my endless trek I roam,
I have no ties to bind me
only the wanderlust in my soul.
Wandering now and forever
wherever my ghost may go.
I am a wayfaring stranger
drifting to no set destination
as the winds flow across my wings
driving me across this unrelenting sea.
No course do I steer,
but on air currents ride.
A loner and a roamer,
a wayfaring stranger is what I be.
