All I Am Poem by Edwina Reizer

All I Am

I am a canary trapped in a cage.
I am the words not on a page.
I am the body showing its age.
I should not fret. It's just a stage.

I am the leafless tree in the fall.
I am the Cinderella left at the Ball.
I am the echo that's lost its call.
I should not fret. I've seen it all.

I am the desert without any rain.
I am the soul that feels your pain.
I am the thoughts I can't explain.
I should not fret or ever complain.

I am the wind that has no sound.
I am the fish afraid to drown.
I am the lover waiting to be found.
I should not fret. I'm still around.
I am.
