Daydream lands of pure white sands.
Palm tree skylines and fire-warmed hands.
Nobel Prizes, mountains, feathers, disguises.
Poker chips. Pirate ships.
Deserted moors. Must-do-chores.
Being a star. Driving a car.
2.9 children, a dog and my freedom,
a corner of the world I can one day call home.
Past friends, future friends, invisible friends.
Of every holiday I ever took, every film and every book.
Hyaline seas and bumblebees and
scabbed-up knees and 'more pudding please'.
Of roads less travelled that I must walk.
The lilting tone in which God talks and
a hundred million more interesting things
like the speed of light and diamond rings.
When I am asked what I am thinking of
It's never one of those.
It's you.
