Ambigious (Is It Friendship?) Poem by Effie Yalena Steyn

Ambigious (Is It Friendship?)

Rating: 4.6

Borax soap on a 'wooden' table.
Get me my UV Light- see the sparkles.
It's not really clean!

Psh. You worry too much.
Enough of the Science.
Carol Ann Duffy speaks through her mouth.

There once was a
STOP!
Don't make me laugh again.

But what is life without laughter?

Hand up!
Remember!

Sorry.
(She is forever needlessly sorry)
Even in her eyes.

Time passes. Watch. Time passes.
But we are stuck in time, we cannot go, we are bound there, to one table, our Oasis, yet we do not wish to leave
Me with my folders, my scrawled notes, exact words, and Latte. Ever the pseud. Moral High Ground- yet not quite there.
Her with her dog-eared Poems, tiny writing, declarations and subtle references to her Muse.
And her with her quiet demeanor, inquisitive lips, hands- balls of light, and a half eaten Red Hot Chili Pepper pizza.

Why did we not cross paths before?
Oh, if only this could stay forever.
