All I ever wanted
Was to be with you
I believed in my heart
That we could make it come true

For so very long
You were always on my mind
All I wanted to do
Was just to treat you kind

You gave me the chance
To show you how much I care
I hope that you feel
I treated you more than fair

The restaurant that we went to
It is my favorite place
It was so nice to see
The smile on your face

We talked over lunch
Each having so much to say
Talking back and forth
A lovely way to spend the day

I walked you to your door
You kissed me on the cheek
It caught me by surprise
I could hardly speak

As you were standing there
I saw the smile on your face
It was then that I knew
I was in the right place

You gave me a chance
Just to be with you
Spending time together
Is all I wanted to do
