All Is Not As It Seems Poem by Timber Koleden

All Is Not As It Seems

Rating: 5.0

Beauty is not measured
in pounds of gold
Youth is not determined
by skin when its old
Life is not defined
by how many breaths are drawn
Light is not dead
if there's no dawn

All virtue is compiled
in your heart
Life is no task
but a wonderful art

If these things are true
then how should we live?
If our lives follow our actions
how much should we give?
For love is not contained
in eternal galaxies
And kindness is more precious
than pleasures that please

If we choose life
we choose all the virtues in one
If we have virtue
we can bless everyone
If we choose truth
we choose Jesus
And if we choose Him
He first chose us

The meaningful ultimate stanza expresses all. It provides a path toward God and a path toward a meaningful life. Beautifully woven poem. To my favorites.
