All Rivers Must Run Their Course Poem by Terence George Craddock

All Rivers Must Run Their Course

Rating: 5.0

can a river be defined by banks in contrast flow change
can a river be defined by spring stream distant shadows
can a river be defined by width of banks flood drought shift

the banks the green the rain wept gloss moss growth grasses
the banks the brown the sand sandy sun bled avenues passes
the banks the trees beside river waters journey-root markers

river flows river flows witnesses myriad life cycle dramas
river flows river flows whispers resolute relentless run reasons
river flows river flows follows fragrant left wind whispers

the river the river whispers memory my life bleed waters
the river the river flows extravagant quiet birth born dreams
the river the river drowns lifeful measures time scent hunts

cold warm hot gushes burns season change time course waters
cold warm hot silk warm are memory made river run realities
cold warm hot warm are limbs speedy journey time cast dice
