All Those Marooned Poem by Doris Cornago

All Those Marooned

Rating: 5.0

Taking responsibility for my own health
Feeling negligent of our environment
Thinking about living huddled on a
Planet, hurtling through space
By force of an internal
Powerful magnet
Unhinged
We will
Be
Gone
In a sec
Wouldn't want
That happening soon
Don't displace the irate moon
Keep her in happy daily orbit in space
That's your solution versus all those marooned
Evade self-destruction, maintain your own distinction

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Breakfast is a happy ritual that begins my workdays. While there are those who open the day with hymns or songs, with my coffee and sandwich, I burst in 7 poems, some of them might be called too pedestrian and not worthy enough of mention, but in my heart, all of my poems are gems of immense value, worthy of reflection in their unpolished state. To be marooned is to be without a poem to bail you out of a hopeless state. You cannot survive without a single poem, your lifesaver as an observer of the flow of life.

And it goes on and on until the seventh poem. This is what I call poem binging, more addictive than Netflix binge.

My skill is to patch up deadends Separate from the rest, work My best alone, introverted But also focused best With silence, my Mind seeks Solace As Words Distract The quietude Of my meek heart Most corners occupied By past concerns, introspective

In deep esteem enfold you With both open palms Whispering low Entreaties Uphold Covenants Spoken to a race In the Secret Place meet Seeking your kind face, grace Upon grace, reflecting on silence

Happiness is this time Spent on thoughts Weaving into Words Magic filters In with the birdsong Cool breeze wafting gently Not alone, all creation lifts me up Faithfully, keeping time with my heartbeat
