Alone Poem by Isaac Trenholm

Alone

Stoic, loner, introvert, I wore those terms with pride.
No helping hand could dare exert upon my perfect life.
A friend indeed, well not in me, I shunned the strangers touch.
While all the while, I secretly, desired it very much.

Pride, pride, pride behind it do we hide. At least you had the courage to admit the truth. I liked your poem very much! Welcome to PoemHunter. Good start.
