Already Gone Poem by Jennifer Sollmann

Already Gone

Rating: 5.0

Clutching your name
Near to my heart
It’s so hard to forget
The way your eyes
See right through me
Reaching out my hand
Empty abyss greets it
How far did you go?
Once you were here
And now my dear
I search your eyes frantically
At a loss, no clue what to do
I can’t accept
What I know to be true
My hand closes around nothing
And I realize
I can’t let you go
But you’re already gone

A lovely poem, Jennifer - it captures so genuinely the pain of love...the line: How far did you go? is dramtic and powerful....
