If I should leave you, my friend
you'll always have the best of me
until you reach your end.

For I'll always be with you
on a springtime day when the birds are singing
and flying your way.

On a summer's day when the sun is bright
and you remember my words
that longed for you every night.

On a day in autumn when the leaves do fall
and the color of my eyes
you will recall.

On the days of winter when you feel the cold
and look at your hands
that made me bold.

And if you should leave before me
then all those memories will be
alive in my heart that slowly beats
until I'm with you in eternity.
