Always Falters Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

Always Falters

No untruth can stand
We need to understand
It shall pinch every time
As to have committed crime

Even though at far land
I remain true friend
We are destined to meet
And cheerfully greet

I know you shall not refuse
And allow me smooth refuge
That is the only way you can oblige
And silently realize

As soon as I am at home
You stand there to welcome
I go back to memory of last session
You were cutting sorry figure with confession

What was I expected to perform?
And honestly inform
That our relation is far beyond
I shall seek it forever as I am very much fond

Whenever I lay on floor
I always keep doors open
Wait for cool breeze to enter
But alas! It always falters
