My mother holds me tight tonight
My mother holds me tight each night.
She wipes my tears when I fall,
Picks me up to reach the stars.

She's never far when I call
Always there, always here.
Mother, keep me warm tonight
Mother, keep me warm each night.

Mommy, teach me to talk?
Mommy, teach me to walk?
I don't say much, but Mommies know
Whatch me closely, here I go!

Mommy, feed me please,
Mommy, teach me please?
I go to school, I learn all day,
But Mommy knows best, whatever I might say!

I'm growing up, and need advice!
Not just a blanket, meat and rice!
A boyfriend Mom! A date tonight!
Help me Mom! Make me a beautiful Sight!

But look, dear Mom, I don't need you anymore!
I'm a teenager and school's taught me more than you know!
I'll slam my door and shout at you!
Mommy, I'm sad and broken, confused and I don't know what to do!

Break down my door and yank me straight!
Let me know you won't let me go!
I'm scared of tonight, I don't know my fate,
But Mommy hold me close and stroke my hair.

All through my life, you've been there for me,
Why? I really don't know!
I've relied on you, screamed at you, used you and probably even bit you!
But all my life, you've held me close, fed me, bathed me, loved me!

I don't know why, surely I don't deserve it!
But Mommy, now I'll do the same for you!
I'll love you, now that I know what you've done for me!
Mommy, I'm a Mommy too!

Walk with me? Teach me again?
Let's walk this path together from now,
If I can, let's keep each other sane,
Hand in hand, let's make my childs life real WOW!
