Am I Lying? Poem by Dorsey Baker

Am I Lying?

You can't be no saint
if you've sinned
you're a sinner
nobody wants to be a victim
everybody wants to be a winner
Am I lying?
Am I lying?
If you start a war
you are a war maker
if somebody's home
you break up
you're a homebreaker
Am I lying?
Am I lying?
Life is short
you'd better know
how you want to live
you can be a taker
or you can give
Am I lying?
Am I lying?
You can't be one thing
and be something else
you just got to be yourself
Am I lying?
Am I lying?
you can't be nothing
but what you want to be
you are you
and I am me
Am I lying?
Am I lying?
