Ambition (Sonnet) Poem by Aufie Zophy

Ambition (Sonnet)

I was very ambitious by all means
My desire was winning all forever
The top of the rank was in all my dreams
Wanting to be the best, the most clever.

I got always in front; winning, I did
I outwitted and surpassed many others.
But inside, i felt not good about it
Whenever i had put down my brothers.

Along the way, many lessons, I've learned
There's no peace in being atop of all
It takes lots of care and being concerned
To find happiness in our heart and soul

Now, it is extremely clear in my mind.
My one ambition is: simply be kind
