America When Will You Come Of Age? Poem by Terence George Craddock (Spectral Images and Images Of Light)

America When Will You Come Of Age?

Rating: 5.0

America when
will you come of age
realize as God said

“As you judge
as you do unto others
so will you be
judged so will it
be done unto you”?

A little faith compassion humanity
goes an awfully long way
wins honest hearts minds sincerity.

Why make such resolute enemies
with inhuman terror tactics?

“when love thy neighbour as thyself”
“do unto others as you would have them do unto you”

Wins international domestic good will
wins hearts minds of good people globally.

Why make war on an entire religion
thinly disguised as crusade war on terror?

Have we not had enough crusades?

Once America stood as a nation of justice
honoured The Geneva Conventions!
Honoured International Law! But alas

political dementia seems to have set in
alarm bells are going off world wide
global deterioration scale sees reasoning

judgement personality proudly espousing
“we can attack anyone anywhere without
real provocation we can propaganda cause!

we need no justification international support
we can attack anywhere any when yes we can”
hubris is a serious disease staining white house

Once the Ten Commandment were displayed
in schools public buildings honoured in high
office now America walks with a different God.

sadly, it's not 'in God we trust, but in oil we trust'... now money and profit make all the rules, and seem to justify whatever.... but the most of us as common people are just numbers, expendable pawns.... judgement, or lack of judgement, eventually brings judgement.... another strong poem of truth!
