American Carnage Poem by Randy McClave

American Carnage

There was another school killing today
Again we were all asked to pray,
More children sadly lost their life
But, not to tobacco, drugs, alcohol or a knife.
Today we had another school shooting
Which we none are disputing,
Innocent children were again killed
Their destiny was ended and sealed.
What is going to be done about it
As many parents rage, scream and have a fit,
How can we protect our daughters and our sons
While the NRA speak we need more guns.
We need to arm all of our teachers
And maybe hire some preachers,
Have the police or hire security to patrol our schools
Let that be part of our new rules.
This was the answer by the politicians there
Again they said, "Let's all just say a prayer",
A prayer is all that they ever ask for
As they did the many times in the past and more.
Remember, the children were killed with lead
Not with a hammer or a knife or arrow they killed dead,
But, still with all the laws and acts and dealings
That will not stop school killings.
We say that we are a true God fearing Christian nation
Abortion is illegal when we kill a child, God's creation,
But, we proudly defend and protect our guns and our rifles
Than reading and obeying the Lords teachings in our Holy Bibles..
The NRA doesn't care
All that our leaders and politicians ask for is a prayer,
The gun laws and the NRA are just pure garbage
This is American carnage.
