American Idol Scandal Poem by Ramona Thompson

There's a lot more going on here than they're letting you, the public, know
Hard up for some extra much needed ratings they took a little risk
Everyone who voted did't exactly have their votes counted the way they wanted

A true idol was robbed last week
Made a mockery of just to fit what they thought would better gain them some cash money
Eager, rabid fans would leave this show in groves if they knew what I know
Romance behind the scenes with an idol superstar opened my eyes wide to that
I'm sorry only that I cannot reveal who this very special man is
Caught up in a mess he never planned or made
All he wanted was a change to make his lifelong dream a reality
Never was he given a fair shot even through he did land in that all important top 10
Idle rumors and half-truths I swear to you this prose is not
Doubt and hate all you want

One day the truth will be revealed either one way or another
Let yourselfs be fooled no longer by a huge tv show's little cover-up games
Waiting and seeing if next year is better is not an attitude you as fans can afford to take
Insist on fair treatment of all talent on the show
No excuses and no more behind the scenes hanky-panky to pick who does and does not advance
Now or never this is the stand we must all take
Entertainment and true moral values are depending upon the choices you make today
Right or wrong?

Just or unjust?
When that long past due judgement day finally comes

On which side will you be standing?
