An Encounter Poem by Randy McClave

An Encounter

Many say that it's grand
But, I never have had a one night stand,
Never had I a sexual meeting
When a strange woman I'd be greeting.
Never did I go to the pubs
Never did I go to the bars or the clubs,
Just to bring home a woman for sex
Then later that night she'd be my ex.
I'm not that type of a man
And I never seek that type of woman,
That type of encounter I do not seek or want
Though after it many will flaunt.
I don't want to have a body count
From all the women that I did mount,
And have our meetings like trophies on the wall
That I and others can look at and always recall.
Never did I bring a woman home drunk or high
And her knowing that soon we'd both say goodbye,
Never did I search or desired that delight
Never did I want an encounter for one night.
