An End To Begin Again Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

An End To Begin Again

Left and lost behind the times.
Quick to move and kick up dust.
On what has aged.
To crust with rust.

An end to begin again?

A forward movement is done to do,
To make those steps preparing for the next.
Not to look back.
With a turning of one's neck.

An end to begin again?

And the difference to be made,
Is a change from what was to have been.
Not to repeat it or to visit.
Or revisit to repeat.

Again.
To begin,
What has ended.
Or wish that an end,
Of a change from what was to have been...
Repeated to revisit.
To relive what has gone.
And tomorrow will not have.
