An Isolated Soul Poem by Jean Dament

An Isolated Soul

Rating: 5.0

Lady Di stands by the window of her ivory tower;
While she ponders the loss of all her power,
Her marriage to Charles has brought too much pain,
She never knew their lives had to endure such strain,
Even the joys of parenthood could not quite conquer such a degree of strife,
Still there was some hope left to restore her life;
When the love for her charities gave her a chance to somewhat reign,
We thought then she had her life back again,
But one ill-fated night....fate took her away,
Now she rests upon an island alone by the bay.
