An Ivory Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

An Ivory

Rating: 5.0

I did not realize until came across!
It was such terrible loss
How life can beautiful without love?
Now I have some sense to believe

Even though you were stark dark
I began to start
Loving in different way
I wanted close say

Each flower seemed so beautiful
As you were seen so colorful
Your eyes spoke of close union
I was prepared for unison

Your lips were seen shaking
Unable to move and in position of speaking
I could think it hard for you
I came to help and rescue

As I drew near
You merely surrendered
As if an apostle had briefed you in advance
To go for blind love and take the chance

I always wanted caring woman
And lovely to be felt as human
Race and color seemed of little worry
I have seen you carved out of an ivory
