If there was no weapon
No gun, no spear, no knife
Would my Earth be safer
And would it have no strife?
Would my child be happy
And run in innocent glee
Would my girl be safe from crime
Be treated equally?
Would the world have freedom
To let me pursue dreams
Or would they try to force their thoughts
And indoctrinate me?
Would the sun shine brighter
And would the nights have songs
Would puppies play without a fear
Of cats who might pounce on?
Would no one ever go hungry
Be clothed appropriately
Would Charlie Hebdo's toons be viewed
Only intellectually?
I may be a dreamer
And some may hate my song
But I'd want my World's thoughts to change
And purge out all that's wrong!
It's always good when we find an idealist! For sure we would be able to live in peace if it was not the greed! Men and women will find peace trought the love - the only way! A great hug from Brazil poet my friend!
worthy one...exactly what we are looking for the changes...good draw!
Would the sun shine brighter And would the nights have songs Yes it is a lovely poem of hope and transformation for a better world. Thanks poet for the sharing. Please read my favourite poet Subhas Chandra Chakra's poems, specially 'Songs of Revolution' please. 10.

Thanks lovely poetess Nandini for such a poem with delicate feelings 10+++++
I believe it is a simple poetic outlay of an age old cry. To this day these questions are asked and many don't think it can be a tangible reality in the world. I would like to know more about who Charlie Hebdo is though.
