An Ode To Donyi Polo - Indigenous Faith Poem by Karpop Riba

An Ode To Donyi Polo - Indigenous Faith

Donyi Polo, the worship of the sun and moon,
A faith that has lived and grown; resilient, immune.
It's a treasure that's rare, precious and pure,
A symphony of beliefs that's worth to endure.

The sun, a giver of light, life and energy,
And the moon, a sacrament of eternity.
In the heart of Arunachal, the land of dawn,
Donyi Polo is a belief that lives on.

It teaches the love of nature, in its purest form,
A religion that doesn't conform.
Its music is like a celestial symphony,
An ode to life, love, and harmony.

Donyi Polo is the gift of tradition,
A culture that knows no differentiation.
Its beliefs are so pure, so rich,
A bond between man and nature that doesn't twitch.

As the mountains and valleys sing with grace,
And the rivers flow with a melodious pace,
Donyi Polo lives in a world of grace,
A place where faith meets life with an embrace.

So let us cherish this treasure of culture and faith,
And spread its message in every place.
For Donyi Polo is more than a belief -
It's the soul of Arunachal; it's our relief.
