Oh! COVID, you cheeky little germ,
A sneaky foe, we never saw you squirm.
You slinked into our lives, what a ruckus,
An unwanted guest, what a hubbub! !
You spread your wings, and took flight ~
Infecting folks from left to right.
With masks on, we try to be safe,
But social distancing? It's a tough pace.
The hand sanitizer, we use it so much,
Our hands are dry, it's such a touch.
We're quarantined home, what a bummer,
Missing our family, friends, and Summer.
We've Zoomed, and Skyped, day after day,
Trying to connect, in our own way.
Work, study, meetings, all from our home,
All while trying not to feel too alone.
No more restaurants, concerts, or dates,
Just Netflix binges, and board game fates.
Our new hobbies, we make bread
Try new art projects, scratch our heads.
But don't think you've won, not yet my friend,
We'll fight this fight until the end.
With science and knowledge, we'll get through,
And kick COVID, it's what we'll do.
So, keep washing your hands and wearing your mask,
Stay home if you're sick, it's not too much task.
COVID, you may have caused quite a stir,
But we'll come out on top, because that's who we were!
