The prickle of separation...a blow-by-blow,
Devastating emotions, adrenaline counterflow
The remnants of love with grief, reaching an overflow.

Fond memories.. once priceless, now a somber regret
Dashed hopes.. shattered dreams.. the mind can't forget
Though the heart yearns to hold what's elapsed
It's time to bid adieu to a love that, alas! never lasted.

To clutch at a love that has lost its shine
Would be dishonest to pretense a futile design
Life's only certainty; a kaleidoscope of change
Letting go of love with delicate soul-searched exchange.

Grateful for the cherished moments...we must part..
Finding peace amid the chaos of the heart
Forgiveness.. healing..the pillars of new starts
As we venture forth with renewed hopes over the heart.

Farewell.. my love, though I'll always treasure our past
We must accept and move on, graciously steadfast
My heart, a vessel, will navigate through,
