An Ode To Love Poem by Dorothy (Alves) Holmes

An Ode To Love

Rating: 5.0

You come and go so fast
Like dawn
When I am star gazing,
Or clouds
When I am chasing moonbeams...
I walk barefoot in the shadow
Of your promises
But there is no yellow brick road!
Somebody lied! ! !

I really love this. It has some personal meaning, that I won't explain. I especially like the reality shared in the last two lines.
