Oh morning breeze, how sweet thy sound,
As through the trees thou dost abound,
Softly caressing every leaf,
With gentle touch, so kind and brief.
Thy fragrance fills the dewy air,
A scent so fresh, beyond compare,
It lifts my soul, and makes me whole,
As I behold thy beauty's goal.
Oh how I wish to be like thee,
So free and wild, so pure and free,
To dance and play with every tree,
And live a life so carelessly.
But alas, I am but mortal woman,
Bound by chains I cannot break or ban,
Yet still I feel thy gentle touch,
And know that love can mean so much.
So I shall bask in thy sweet grace,
And cherish every moment's trace,
And hold thee close within my heart,
Forevermore, till life doth part.
