How I wish could tell this world
That I will never be found,
For I'm buried with my love
In a cavern underground.
A space that I share with her
Always cold, wet and so dark,
Our home in a cemetery
With a sacred cross to mark.
Boundless warmth we carry forth
With all that we loved and shared,
Sweet memories strewn about
On grass blades and blossoms bared.
Love they say - does never die
No truth is greater than this,
Though we are on either side
It is such heavenly bliss.
She now lives in memories
And lets me bask in their shade,
For she did not bid adieu
A gruesome task I forbade.
In ether we still hold hands
Even steal a kiss or two,
Her embrace now shadowy
Yet, veils me from being blue.
Now we live in a home-staid
Which far from being upstart,
One where she is sepulchered
The other within my heart.
We thus know our destiny
And have learnt how we may stay,
One enmeshed in memories
The other, in mud and clay.
Pray someday we once again
Blossom with a warming sun,
Revel in togetherness
With our breaths entwined as one.
