An Owl Painting - Poem by Sebastian Melmoth

There's this painting of an owl descending
An owl in flight to mother nature's floor
Conviction in its imminent landing

A picture painted from a family cousin
The steady hand of each caring brush
Pride exposed in painting for one's family

Peering into the sentiment of feelings, Spectacular ore
A window in a time of days of old
A snapshot of wildlife's metamorphosis

As night sky falls depicts the scene
The beauty of the owl descends
Wings painted spread perfectly formed

Mind drifted embracing the environment before me
A tale in watercolour of night fall before day
As you stare into the frame one can almost feel an autumn chill

The artist breathing life into their creation
Fervent the signature placed in the corner
Signing off their love for this masterpiece

The owl picture graces my wall
A constant reminder of family bonds
A constant reminder of nature's evolution

Topic(s) of this poem: beauty, environment, nature
