Another Year Past Poem by Sebastian Melmoth

Another Year Past

Another year past, another decade gone
Reflecting, dissecting, making sense of choices that have passed.

The memories, the images flowing through the photo album of mind's eye
Blank pages, blank canvass the stories yet to be painted with the brush strokes of writings ink

Moulding, shaping, planting seeds of inspiration for the future that lies ahead
The living words of the next chapter unfolds, leaps of faith stepping into the unknown.

Fill hearts with hope, joy, peace, shielding from the negative forces that lye among journeys bumpy pathways
Past experiences, keeping feet firmly on the ground guiding through lives maze

Decade or Decayed divided by the fine line of time
Wrinkles increase on well lived faces like the telling lines of the tree trunk chopped in half

10 years quickly fleeting cherishing the every day with no regrets for we
are forever learning creatures, a kaleidoscope of perceptions

Each beat of our hearts evolving, growing, marking the failures and successes of each step we take.

Until our final chapters written until our hearts stop beating
Our stories sitting on the shelves within the cosmic library of the universe.
