An Ugly Image (An Ugly Cigarette) Poem by MOHAMMAD SKATI

An Ugly Image (An Ugly Cigarette)

I don't believe a thing that We love it, but It hates us, I don't trust a thing that We pay for, but it sells us, I don't rely on a thing that It takes everything, but It gives us the worst, I can't love a thing that hates me, I don't take it as a friend Because it's a bitter enemy, I don't take a snake as a friend because It might poison me anytime, I don't take a thing that tempts me, then It destroys me badly, I don't think it's a good friend When in need, I don't like to accompany it because It might lead to inevitable death, so How do you trust a cigarette anytime.
