An Unbound Melody Poem by Christopher Cariad

An Unbound Melody

The hurt, pain, and sorrow
I feel tonight,
began with your hate and lies.
You're my biggest weakness
and my every strength.
The rock I stand on
and the sand in which I sink.
I thought I loved
but now I don't know,
when pain has been etched in my soul.
I live to dream
and dream to live,
but never will I live the dream
of forever being
with you, my love.
In a far distant land is where I wish to be,
kissing you under this full moon
and forever
laying in this bed,
magically cast into these stars with you.
