Anamnesis Poem by MANJUSHA BABU

Anamnesis

Rating: 5.0

I remember travelling somewhere with no purpose,
Somewhere beyond those fences and boundaries-
Into those wilderness,
With an aching heart
And, empty mind.
Somewhere like a vagabond
Hoping with no hopes of that unknown future,
I strolled and strolled - -
those earthly burdens turned heavy
tears flowed like those falls
with those blurred visions I looked up
And...
It was a heavenly bliss that I glanced
it took a few minutes to get a clear image - -
of that celestial vision..
Yes, it was those angelic clouds and sky
Which echoed
Fear not, worry not
everything will turn better.
Those shapeless clouds
Those clear blue skys
Taught me what life is all about.
Yes,
'If winter comes, can spring be far behind? '
That is how my life bounced beyond the horizons..
What else can an aimless traveller achieve?
- Shahs.
