Anarchy, Rebellion And Hysteria Poem by Joanne Kearsey

Anarchy, Rebellion And Hysteria

Rating: 5.0

You ask for this forgiveness for which I just cannot give,
Because you have no reason to be forgiven,
You must say your prayers as your god judges each deed,
And will not forgive the sins we call emotions, Religion is a story waiting to be retold into many interpretations that are perceived as an un-unified truth.

No longer am I a slave to your way of thinking,
I am beginning this new life and you will not need this demi-rebel,
You will have no more punch bag to throw your remarks to,
And you will, like always, conform to the rest against this anarchy,
As you join in with the mass of hypnotic hysteria.

I have found a place to go to hide from what was hurting me,
I told you I wasn’t lost I only had no destination to travel to,
But I have found my place in life and am proud of who I am no matter what you say or do anymore.

You are not to be forgiven for sins you have not committed,
As I am the one left standing tortured from pleas of insanity, like a candle burning at both ends, the only way to live is without regrets try everything at least once and be happy! !
