And His Name Is Jesus Christ Poem by Phillip Nine Mafunga

And His Name Is Jesus Christ

Rating: 5.0

Like walking through the chocking dust of the Dakar Rally
Like deep in the murky waters of the sinful valley
My mind dizzy with the smokey songs of Marley
His unfailing love lifted me up; no wonder I am all smiley

My soul was in tatters
My life like smelly gutters
But to me He is more than a whole range of modern smutters
For peace to my soul He utters

His name is Jesus; the Christ of the living God
Whose love does not overreach but yet is so broad
Hanged like a sinner, yet to us, the Lord
Cry out to Him today; unto Him your sin's burdens offload

Beautiful rhymes my brother. If Bob Marley smiles. I am sure Jesus is happy. Great poem.
