And It's Not - Poem by Rose Preston

If being in love was an option,
I wouldn’t love you.

And it's not,
You’ll be pleased to know,
Because I don’t find you funny,

Because I do.

And it's not,
Just to clarify,
Because your not kind,

Because you are.

And it's not,
Shocking as it may seem,
Because you hurt me,
Taunt me,
Tease me,
Mock me,
Burn me.

Even though you do.

Its because,
My darling,
You don’t love me too.
